“MiddleSmith is personal. It carries my name, my values, and everything I’ve learned over 15 years in the design industry. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of creativity and clarity – making things that are not just beautiful, but considered, useful, and lasting.

After studying design, I spent years working across brands, agencies, and startups – learning what works, what doesn’t, and how to bring ideas to life with meaning. It was never about chasing trends. It was about getting to the heart of something and building it properly.

MiddleSmith was born from that same belief – that good design isn’t just what you see, it’s how it’s made, how it works, and how it lasts. I run the studio from a small village in Essex, but our reach is global. We keep things intentionally small, collaborating with others when the work calls for it. What matters is the outcome – and that it’s crafted well, every time.

At the heart of everything we produce is the philosophy of Championing Craft™ – a practice and commitment to doing things properly, asking the right questions, and making work that’s built to last. That’s what MiddleSmith stands for.”
